Sterling & Hagan to Host Weekend Show on 1070 – The Fan

by Kent Sterling

My head was photoshopped on to this picture by a Kentucky fan on a website, and I haven't stopped laughing since I saw it. Of all the pictures of myself I could post here, this is my favorite. How sad is that?

Fox 59 sports director Chris Hagan and the purveyor of the most important sports themed website in the world have agreed to host a two-hoiur show each Saturday from 9a-11a on 1070 – The Fan in Indianapolis beginning this week.

Kudos to 1070 The Fan program director David Wood for having the foresight to employ these two young talented firebrands in an effort to expand the station’s local footprint in Indianapolis sports media.

The show will be a look ahead at the weekend of local sports, and you can guess what we’ll talk about this weekend – hours before Butler takes on VCU in a game to determine who will play the winner of Kentucky and UConn in the championship game.

Radio is supposed to be fun and if you’re up that early on a Saturday, it needs to be for something fun, so that is exactly what the show will be.  Every Saturday, listeners will get two great interviews (or more appropriately – two interviews with great guests), the five best reasons to watch sports this weekend, the all important Tweet of the Week, plus the very best unique perspective available of Saturday mornings from 9a-11a.

It will be nothing but fun, and I hope you join us every Saturday from 9a-11a on 1070 The Fan.

You’re going to have a blast, Kent! I used to work with Hagan – never a dull moment.

    Good luck to you guys.
