Most people recall Indy 500 driver Eddie Sachs because of the crash that killed him, and the impromptu eulogy delivered by radio host Sid Collins, but there was a lot more to him than that.
The host of Talk of Gasoline Alley is celebrating his 50th May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. His first was 1964, ironically the race in which Sachs died.
