Today’s guests are as good as it gets, and we’ve worked all week to be able to provide the insight you deserve for two hours.

Tom Crean got his first real commitment yesterday in rising star Robert Johnson.  What we know about Johnson is that he’s ranked #42 by Rivals, is 6’3″ 180 lbs., really blew up in July, and never misses a shot in his highlight reels.  The guy who knows his game best is his AAU coach, and Boo Williams will join us at 11:15a to talk about what Johnson saw in the Hoosiers to earn his commitment over North Carolina, Florida State, and Virginia.

Ron Howard is the director of some of the most entertaining movies of the last 30 years, and his most recent effort is all about F-1 racing.  “Rush” will be in theaters soon, but Howard will be on Ahead of the Curve to talk about that film and commiserate with Chris Hagan about the challenges of their red-headedness.

Danny Granger is one of the most interesting stories of the Pacers this offseason.  They went to Game Seven of the Eastern Conference Finals without him three months ago, and now people are hoping that a healthy Granger can give the Pacers the depth needed to earn the top seed in the East.  We’ll talk to Granger about the upcoming season, Frank Vogel, Lance Stephenson, and his work to educate people about a disease that has impacted several members of his family.

Indiana is 2-1 early in the 2013 season with a big game against Missouri looming tonight.  The Tigers are led by quarterback James Franklin and receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, but the Hoosiers will counter with QB Nate Sudfeld, tight end Ted Bolser, a deep receiving corps, and one of the most explosive backs in America.  Tevin Coleman will talk about why he chose the Hoosiers, and how much fun it is to be that damn fast.

Chris Hagan will join us live from San Francisco, as he waits to cover the Colts vs. 49ers game tomorrow.

Ahead of the Curve is the best two hours of my week, and we hope you enjoy it.
