IU’s situation is quite amusing. At the beginning of the season, everyone was so enamored with Miller, Langford, and the rest of the team. This was the ultimate step taken by Fred Glass to bring IU basketball back to its rightful place at the top of the Big Ten (and NCAA).

Real life has a way of bringing expectation to its knees. IU basketball is quickly becoming another 10-year rebuilding project. If this is true, it will be the worst scenario for IU. Why ditch Crean in the first place? Could he do any worse than what we have now?

Personally, I do not blame Archie Miller for where we are currently at now. He walked into a buzz-saw, a buzz-saw of expectations vs. real life. Fred Glass should be the primary person responsible for the performance of the IU Basketball Team. He was the one person who was responsible for ditching a seasoned coach and evaluating a replacement. I would hope that Glass’s evaluation included whether a new replacement was capable of motivating young men and dealing with the expectations of the IU Nation.

If the hammer falls, it should fall on the main person who led us to this point, and it is NOT Archie Miller.
