My Dad said the way Indiana fired Bob Knight Indiana Basketball would never recover. So far he is right. Looking forward to which Indiana guy you think would qualify as a coach.

There is only one “Indiana Guy” that I can think of that would come into this mess, and that is Dan Dakich. Good luck on that one. Master of the Media, Kent Sterling, is probably pushing this.

A INDIANA guy is the only way it will have a chance .working ! Last nights game was living proof of lack of coaching as well as having no game plan after the first half . It was like playing two different teams. The program cannot keep Miller another year ! ! ! TJD is gone . There will more transfers unless The new coach can get the right guy can make that happen ! The classless booing on national TV says it all .

Kent is trying to get Dakich hired here. Do you really want to spend 3 or 4 more years of rebuilding at IU plus spend $10M. Stupid decisions result in ineffective results. I’ll stick with Archie and make him either resign or produce the results we expect.

The thought of Firing Archie should be carefully examined. Is Archie responsible for not having Joey Brunk in the front court or for injuries to just about most of our starters , especially Franklin. Or Finnese ‘s inconsistent play? I like his offense except for the cris crossing . Too often , simple turnovers due to weak non challant passes are gifted to the defense. Every guard needs to improve on ball handling. Archie should get one more year to show a big improvement. Additionally, I assume we won’t have to pay 10 million dollars for a buyout after next season if he doesn’t perform.
In my opinion, Archie and or the AD need to reassess the recruiting methods. We should be recruiting kids who fit Archie’s system better. We need more size and skill at the wings, especially to help out on the boards. We were way undersized. If it is neccessary to go outside for another skilled big man, we need to go recruit nationally and be succesfull. Same thing with a small forward. This should always be one of the top scorers on any contender in the BT. Finally, Trace Jackson needs to have at least a consistent jump shot from 10 to 15 feet out. He is great with post moves but he is an undersized center and will only play either forward slots at the next level. We could also use a kid with some girth, maybe a football type build with rebounding skills to be in the rotation, not neccesarily a starter..
