Indiana University has announced what most had already assumed – that the Hoosiers vs. Iowa Hawkeyes makeup game will be played at Assembly Hall at 9p on Thursday, February 27th.
This was the only date that made sense for both teams.

Indiana athletic director Fred Glass assured fans the issues that caused the 50 pound piece of metal to fall from near the ceiling will have been fixed by then, “Both our University and outside consulting engineers have advised us—and we in turn have advised the Big Ten—that the remediation of the problems at Assembly Hall will be 100% complete by early next week and that Assembly Hall will be safe and ready to host Thursday’s men’s basketball game without any limitations or restrictions,” said Glass.
Good to know. No fan wants to spend more time looking at the ceiling for falling debris than watching the players.
The Hoosiers will be playing two days after a trip to Wisconsin and three days before a visit from Ohio State, while Iowa will come in two days after a game at the Barn against Minnesota and only two days before a home tilt against Purdue.
Indiana needs some quality wins to make a case for inclusion in the NCAA Tournament, and four of their last five games will provide just the kind of gauntlet that could be an enormous help, or completelytank their season.
Beginning with the game at Wisconsin on Tuesday, Indiana will play the 16th, 15th, 24th, and 20th ranked teams in the country with a fifth game against a much improved Nebraska team that posted a very impressive 60-51 win at Michigan State last Sunday.
The Hoosiers are currently 4-8 in Big Ten play, and 14-11 overall.
