A lack of sleep turns me wacky, and as I write this, it’s 1:10 a.m., and the St. Louis Cardinals are batting in the bottom of the 13th in Game One of the National League Championship Series. The Cardinals and Dodger are tied at two as they have been since the third inning.
It’s a good thing preparation for the show begins prior to the morning of the show.

We’ll talk about the game, no matter how long the damn thing goes, but we’ll also talk Colts, Pacers, Hoosiers and Boilermakers. Indiana wide receivers Cody Latimer and Kofi Hughes will join Fox 59 sports director Chris Hagan and me. Indiana Basketball freshman Luke Fischer will join us too.
And of course, we’ll talk about the Colts Monday night matchup against the San Diego Chargers and the quarterback everyone loves to hate, Phillip Rivers.
The Pacers are in Asia to play one more game tomorrow morning, and we’ll talk about the value of these games for the blue and gold.
The ballgame is still in the bottom of the 13th with Daniel Descalso on first and Matt Capenter at the plate, and I have a very good feeling about this half inning – it could be sleep deprivation, but I believe they are going to win it right here.
If you have already gone to bed, and for the love of God, nobody could blame you, listen to Chris and me at 9a to find out what happened. Carpenter just walked, so runners are on first and second with one out, as Mattingly goes to the pen.
At any rate, we plan on having a great show. If this game goes 19 innings, we likely won’t make much sense – not that we ever do.
