Noah Vonleh met with the media today to talk about his decision to declare his eligibility for the NBA Draft.
The short story is that Vonleh has always dream about playing in the NBA. I assume he has also dreamed of diving headlong into the kind of pile of cash that can only be attained by 19-year olds through physical of mental genius, but he had the class to avoid mentioning his eagerness for wealth.
It’s always amusing to hear people talk about every motivation but money for their decision. With professional free agents, the “why (insert city here)?” question always comes, and the answer is, “Well, (insert city name here) has always been great to me. The fans are just unbelievable, and I thought, I enjoy visiting so why not raise my family here.” Yeah, right. Taking the most money never enters into it.
Anyway, Vonleh is leaving, and here’s what he had to say.
